29 April 2018: Great Gransden

We met in the Reading Rooms for a modelling session. Malcolm Harrison was building Meridian Ashover coaches to be ready for the arrival of the Bachmann loco to haul them, while John Szmigielski was building a Dundas L&B van. A Paul Windle Heisler appared courtesy of David Gander, who was putting together a Jelly Models diesel. John Shawe continued with his 8mm gauge trackwork, while demonstrating his first ‘008’ conversion, many years old, from an Eggerbahn no.5 loco. Stephen Clulow was building a ticket office in 7mm scale, and Chris Krupa was converting a Russian bus kit in 1:35 to right-hand drive. Stephen Sullivan had a Japanese draisine, a 3D Tom Rolt, and a radio-controlled VW camper in HO scale which raised a few eyebrows. Brian Key put the finishing touches to our Open Day arrangements.
